How Personome works.

Our validation results, our limitations and the open questions all live on this page. The questions themselves stay protected - the evidence doesn't.

Why don't we give you a fixed type?

Personality traits are distributed like height: most people are near the middle, and the middle is where type labels lie the most. Two people just across a boundary can be more alike than two people with the same label. Personome therefore reports continuous scores, match percentages and uncertainty bands instead of turning a boundary into an identity.

What is an archetype then?

An archetype is a compact summary of the pattern in your dimensions. It is useful language and memory, not the category you belong to. A strong archetype means several dimensions point in the same direction. A close runner-up means the profile should be read as a blend. See the archetypes

Archetype is not the same as type

A type usually says: you are in this box. A Personome archetype says: this story best fits your current scores, with this match percentage, this runner-up and these dimensions underneath. If the numbers and the story disagree, the numbers win.

Archetype calibration

Archetypes are presentation on top of dimension scores, not independent validation. Synthetic control runs show that low-signal or random profiles can cluster around one nearest archetype because of provisional norms and prototype geometry. Personome therefore treats archetype distribution as calibration work before pilot data, not evidence that the model is validated.

What do the dimensions mean?

Six continuous dimensions informed by the HEXACO model of personality structure: Curiosity, Structure, Energy, Warmth, Sensitivity and Integrity. Each dimension is a tendency, not a grade. How to read low, middle and high

A low score does not mean no personality. It means your energy usually sits closer to the other end of that dimension. A middle score often means flexibility or context-dependence. A high score means the tendency is clearer and more often active. Always read the score and uncertainty band together.

The six dimensions in plain language

  • Curiosity: how strongly ideas, aesthetics and experiments pull you; lower scores often want proof and concreteness first.
  • Structure: how much order, persistence and care help you get things done; lower scores can change direction faster.
  • Energy: how naturally you move toward contact, visibility and action; lower scores often use quieter influence.
  • Warmth: how readily you repair, make room and keep relationships workable; lower scores can protect boundaries and necessary friction.
  • Sensitivity: how early and intensely you register emotion, risk and meaning; lower scores can carry pressure with less emotional noise.
  • Integrity: how strongly fairness, sincerity and low status-display steer your choices; lower scores may find tactical positioning more natural.

What are the areas in the profile?

The result starts with dimensions because they carry the measurement. Facets explain the smaller parts inside a dimension. The archetype gives the whole-pattern summary. Strengths highlight the highest stable tendencies. The stress view is marked as indicative because it still needs validation against outside criteria.

How the profile areas fit together

  • Dimensions are the main measurement and appear as percentiles with uncertainty bands.
  • Percentile tells you where the score sits against the norm group; 70 means higher than about 70 out of 100.
  • Uncertainty band tells you how precisely to read the number. Overlapping bands should not become big stories.
  • Facets are the smaller parts inside a dimension. Complete makes them clearer.
  • Archetypes turn the whole pattern into a name, but never replace the numbers.
  • Strengths are the highest stable tendencies, not moral grades.
  • Stress view is a cautious hypothesis about where pressure may show up first.

Essential and Complete

Essential gives a useful first profile map at dimension level. Complete is longer and makes the facet level clearer, so you can see why a dimension looks the way it does. Both levels use the same rule: numbers first, story second.

How sure are we?

Exactly as sure as the band around your score says - never more. V1 uses provisional norms drawn from published research until our own sample carries empirical norms.

What we don't know yet

The section most assessments skip. Self-report is a lens, not a window. Our norms are young. Derived views are hypotheses until criterion studies complete, and every one says so where it appears. Personome is not a clinical instrument and diagnoses nothing.

How should a result be used?

Use the profile as a map for reflection and conversation: where you tend to spend energy, what may cost you, and what to adjust in a specific context. Do not use it as the sole basis for hiring, treatment, finance or any other high-stakes decision.
